With growing obesity and many more health problems and the trend of eating out, there’s been a grave need for health cafes that not only serve healthy food, but that is delicious too. One such café is Getafix. Located in the Greater Kailash 1, M block market, this café is a funky and cool one with a menu that will surely make your mouth water.
They recently launched the new menu, which is quite stylish and the new additions in terms of dishes are pretty good. Of course they have an amazing selection of smoothies and juices but also a highly impressive breakfast menu, which I’m definitely going back for.
I tried the following dishes:
Berranana Fix: One of the most popular smoothies that is seen on almost every table, it was delicious. It wasn’t overly sweet or sour and the best part was that there was no added sugar.
Quinoa and Oats Crepe with Mixed Berries and Ricotta: This was the most delicious crepe I have ever had. The filling was just heavenly.
Bruschetta: It was a basic bruschetta but the ingredients were absolutely fresh.
Quinoa Burger: At first I wasn’t convinced with the combination of sweet potato and quinoa but it actually turned out to be a good combination. They do add jalapenos to balance the dish but I’d definitely love to see a generous topping of jalapenos.
Carrot Cake: This was the best carrot café I’ve had in a long time. It was perfectly warm, not overly sweet; it was just homely and nice.
The disappointing part was the service though. The servers were a bit lost and didn’t take my order properly. Some of them were a little clueless about the dishes on the menu, and a little uninterested too, which isn’t the best thing at a restaurant. So this is one area that they need to work on.
Overall, I had a great experience and I’m surely going back, especially for breakfast and they do have an all day breakfast menu!
